Digital Marketing Manager

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to help market a new content and community platform for non-fiction book lovers.

This role will be critical for building awareness of this new product, and growing a subscription base using both paid and organic marketing strategies.

This is a senior role for a marketer who understands growth marketing and can own the process from start to finish.

You should be able to show demonstrated success in managing paid media, identifying the right creators or partners, working closely with senior leadership, evaluating performance data, and improving what comes next.

What You’ll Do

  • Own our digital marketing strategy and execution — from paid campaigns to organic growth to revenue results
  • Run paid media across Meta (our primary focus), plus Google, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn — setting budgets, testing what works, and adjusting in real time
  • Grow our audience and engagement organically through social, email, and partnerships
  • Find and build real relationships with creators, influencers, and affiliates who fit the brand
  • Partner directly with leadership on campaign strategy, messaging, and launches
  • Keep a pulse on audience behavior and platform changes, and turn what you see into clear next steps
  • Build systems for planning, outreach, and reporting
  • Understand and drive e-commerce performance — tracking conversion and sales impact, and finding ways to grow revenue per visitor

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, ideally with a consumer-facing, media, e-commerce, membership, subscription, creator, education, or high-growth brand
  • A track record of owning paid campaigns end-to-end including customer acquisition, email-list growth, conversions, subscriptions, traffic, or sales
  • Current experience in Meta Ads Manager and other relevant ad platforms
  • Experience developing and managing influencer, creator, affiliate, partnership, or ambassador programs — from outreach through execution and reporting
  • Strong understanding of organic social strategy, content distribution, email marketing, earned media, and audience development
  • Comfort with campaign analytics, testing, tracking, landing pages, and conversion paths
  • Excellent written communication, project-management, and relationship-building skills
  • A resourceful, organized working style and the ability to independently manage several priorities at once
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment

Especially Relevant Experience

We would be especially interested in candidates who have worked with:

  • Newsletters, subscriptions, memberships, editorial products, books, education, media, or mission-driven consumer brands
  • Klaviyo, Shopify, affiliate platforms, influencer-management tools, or comparable systems
  • Brands where trust, audience relationship, and editorial or creative quality matter as much as reach

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to do work that matters to people, and to build a new platform under a proven brand.

You will join a small, independent team that values thoughtful work, strong creative judgment, clear communication, and meaningful impact. You will have the chance to help shape how a respected media and consumer brand reaches new audiences, deepens relationships with existing ones, and grows thoughtfully over time.
